Don't Worry... It's Just a Ghost or Sumthin'

Hey y'all. Thought I better update quickly before people start to think I was stalked by a psycho killer. Nope. I went to pay that water bill... and since I didn't want to come home I then went and hung out at Lowes and then the fabric store. Managed to use up most of the day as they are all over different parts of the city no where near my home. ;)

Re; this morning...

Couldn't be the wind as all the windows and doors were closed when the attic crawl space was unsealed and opened.

The wind also could not have let the cat out as the door opens 'out' not 'in'.

Doesn't really matter... I'm used to little stuff happening - it just caught me off guard to have everything happen at once. LOL.

On the other hand I got some awesome wall decor for the kids room, some new candles for the dining room, foliage seeds for the front flower/rock patch, caulk for the kitchen and fabric to sew a couple swimsuit cover ups and a pair of pajama capri's. I'm good.

A Beer Receptionist

While I was whining about how I don't 'want' a career or a full time job right now....

Me: "I just wanna-be-a-receptionist."

Coffeehusband: "Yeah, I want a beer-receptionist too! Hey receptionist, bring me my beer!"

(I obviously must slur my words together when I'm whining.)

More Ghost Stuff...... No coffee... I swear

It's 10:00 pm. I'm not drinking coffee this late... I swear! I did however have a cappuccino around 4:00. Just one though! :)

So tonight while Coffeehusband and I were sitting on the couch talking he looked past me into the kitchen and by the look on his face I knew something was going on so I asked, "What's wrong?"

"I just saw one of the cats.... in the kitchen. On the counter. It looked like Guinness's tail... it swished back and forth.... but........." his voice trailed off as he stood and stared, confused, while still looking at the kitchen.

"It was her tail... it went back and forth... but she isn't on the counter. No cats are even IN the kitchen."

He was walking into the kitchen as he said that he walked to the counter and repeated himself, this time waving his hand back and forth where he showed me he saw the cat that suddenly wasn't there. As we were sitting right there we would have seen and heard if there WAS a cat in the kitchen as both our cats wear collars with bells, and nothing could have walked past us without us seeing it.

He looked down the hall and saw one of our cats by the front door, but it was Samual Adams... Guinness was no where to be seen because she wasn't IN the kitchen. She was upstairs in the bedroom with Coffeegirl.

My husband was frustrated.... me? Not so much. He is just now, after almost 19 years of marriage, starting to realize that maybe there ARE things that are unexplained. He's certainly had quite a few in the last couple years.

The phantom cat might explain the odd (cat?) that scared BabyGirl and our other cat, Guinness last month in BabyGirls bedroom by growling and hissing at the door (invisible) when Guinness got so scared she ran away from the door, jumped up in the chair and wouldn't come down for almost an hour and wouldn't go near the door to leave the bedroom.

Tiny Little Ghostie Update

My version: I was sitting in the kitchen this morning enjoying the silence and looking out the window at the sunlight on the snow when Coffeehusband came upstairs from the basement. He opened the basement door rather slowly, peering around the corner with a smirk on his face and looking towards my feet or the floor. His eyes rose to mine and he asked with a grin, "Did you just say 'Don't'?" "No....?" "Were the cats just bugging you?" "No....?" "Did you just tell them to 'Stop it!'?" "No... I haven't said anything at all."

He looked confused.

His version: He was walking up the stairs from the basement and as he got to the stop of the stairs he heard 'my' voice say "Stop it!" "Don't!" so he opened the door slowly and grinned, thinking the cats were bothering me again and rubbing up against my feet as I sat on the bar stools. He didn't see the cats anywhere around me and I was just sitting there at the laptop and didn't look like I had been talking to anyone.

After he explained I said, "So what were you doing?"

"Nothing! I was just opening the door to come into the kitchen!"

"Well, the ghost obviously doesn't want you in the kitchen! LOL"
