A savings club for prescriptions when insurance isn't enough or doesn't exist

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

This week I've been texting back and forth with the boy child to try to get his prescription for acne refilled in the city he goes to college in; from the doctor we had in the city before we moved away in October and the insurance that I have the card to and he didn't have a copy.  Whew.

With prescriptions on the brain, I just smiled when I was given a chance to write about this very topic by Walgreens. It seems a good fit this week!

For those without insurance, or that have insufficient prescription coverage, then Walgreens Prescription Savings Club might be a good fit.  It's a risk free membership, because if you don't save more than the cost of your membership during the course of the year of that membership, then they refund the difference.  The thing is, right now it's only ten bucks and with savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and generic medications, I have a hard time believing you won't save that ten bucks with your first purchase.

For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, (your spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets).   If you are like my son and are a single individual, then it's $5.  Not only will you save on your prescriptions, but members of the savings club also save on flu shots, nebulizers and diabetic supplies as well as bonuses on Walgreens purchases, Nice! brand products and photo services.

For more information or to 'like' them, check out Walgreens on Twitter  and also, Walgreens on Facebook.
