It's Just the Coffee Talking: Green Mountain Breakfast Blend This Morning

I am typically not a fan of Green Mountain coffee on an everyday basis even though it seems the average coffee drinker loves the brand.  I can drink it just fine once in a while but it's not something I keep on hand because there is an undertone of 'something' in the Green Mountain coffee's that I can taste, but I haven't been able to put my finger or it or describe it in the last 4-5 years I've been reviewing their coffee's.

This morning I'm visiting extended family and this is the only coffee they have on hand for their Keurig brewer.  They buy it because my Mother likes a light coffee, brewed a little weak and adds water.  Of course regular readers know I like my coffee strong, hot and black.  I had a couple cups last night and of course this morning I'm having a few more.  I decided what the heck, I'd come to the blog and ramble on about it a little bit since I've been lax in posting since I've been traveling the last couple weeks.

The Breakfast Blend coffee is a very light roast.  It's not bitter, but it seems acidic to me.  It's crisp and easy to drink, and it goes well with whatever breakfast pastry, cereal, toast, etc. that you may also be enjoying.  It doesn't seem to compete with foods or other drinks.  For this reason it's a pretty good blend to keep on hand as it's a 'crowd pleaser' in the fact that it can be served and most people will love it and it's absolutely drinkable and enjoyable.

Product Description

Green Mountain Breakfast Blend Keurig K-Cups are one of our most popular blends. It has a rich taste and medium acidity. We think youll find this blend to be balanced and smooth. This is our classic, lively and vibrant New England breakfast cup. It offers a snappy, crisp and citrusy Central American coffee matched with the sweetness, body and depth of an Indonesian bean to create a wakeful blend that won’t try to compete with your orange juice in terms of its brightness.

My oldest daughter and her husband have switched to the Keurig 2.0 because her husband likes to fill his gigantic travel mug every morning before his morning commute and he was going through 3-4 single k-cups each morning.  They switched to the 2.0 so they could use the carafe sized pods - which fill his mug in one swoop and he's out the door.
