I buy most of our items based on a strict and fairly cheap budget. Sometimes there are 'better' products out there you can use but I can't or couldn't afford them at the time. I spend hours (literally) researching almost every product before I buy it because frankly, I just don't have the money to blow. I research the item, reviews, other sites reviews, youtube videos, find it in numerous stores to see where I will get the best price, etc.
I typically end up buying about 80% of my stuff on Amazon because I can get free shipping with a minimum order and they end up having the best price. I buy about 15% of my things online at Walmart or sometimes (once in a great while) in the store. The remaining 5% is bought through other sources - usually their own website direct.Sometimes I accept products for free in return for a review from companies; when I do, you will see it noted and clear on my review.
Amazon affiliate links to items we bought and used on our trip (you may see in photos re; my camping posts).
