Rambling Over Coffee: Social Distancing? I practiced that long before it was a 'thing'. I don't hate people, I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee but I've also gotten a few things off my "do this" list; and I'll find plenty more to keep me occupied.  I always do.

Since I'm mostly a solitary person who really enjoys being by myself, as long as I have sunshine for the day, I'm in a pretty good place.  Social distancing is something I was pretty happy with long before it became a catch-phrase for everyone during this current COVID-19 pandemic.

So how is this social distancing going for you?

I'm noticing that the neighbors on either side of me are spending an awful lot of time having "play dates" for their kids.  Every. Day.

I also saw Moms traipsing through Walmart on my last "grocery run" with their kids.  I think they are more noticeable now since most people are trying to only send one person per family and in many cases, like ours, one person to shop for two or more families.  Less people out and about to potentially pick up the virus.

I know we don't have a mandatory quarantine in place here but we have social-distancing, self-isolation, school has been canceled for the year for a REASON.  But... I saw 2 Moms browsing around Walmart with kids that were actually old enough to have been left alone long enough for her to run to the store (approximately 14 and 11).   I wonder if she gave any thought at all to the fact that by bringing two more people with her, she just increased her odds of picking up the virus.  One person 'out' verses three people 'out' means 3 people breathing the same air, touching the same surfaces, the products, getting coughed on.

One of my daughters was excited to start a 1000 piece puzzle.  She had envisioned it being a week long project to do here and there while in isolation.

She finished it in one day.  "Welp, that didn't take as long as I thought." she said.  LOL.
