I hightailed it down to my local Sam's yesterday morning and picked me up a pool.

Much like toilet paper was hard to find 6 weeks ago, and laptops were hard to find a month ago, it's been almost impossible to find a small swimming pool for the past couple weeks.

Just a small, kids pool.
An 8 round, about 18-24" tall.  The kind with a hard, plastic side.  The 8' round is juuuust big enough to lay on a floatie (floaty?), close your eyes and float freely, imaging you are in a large pool.

I thought I finally found one available about two weeks ago and placed the order, along with some pool chemical to fight algae (normally I use bleach but that is almost impossible to find sometimes as well) and a good quality pool skimmer for cleaning.

Welp, I got my pool chemicals.
I got the leaf skimmer.
I never did get the pool.
And yesterday (after almost 2 weeks of waiting) they emailed to say it might not make it at all and did I want to delete my order?

Well, in the meantime of waiting almost two weeks for this pool, Sam's Club got a huge shipment of small kids pools in.  They aren't exactly what I wanted, but are the inflatable 10 foot by 18" size and at this point, I just want a cheap pool of any sort; so I hightailed it down to my local Sam's yesterday morning and picked me up a pool.

We now have a swimming pool on our back patio.
I can say things like:
  • "I'm going to grab a cold drink and sit out by the pool."
  • "I'm going to go get my suit on and float in the pool for a bit."
  • "Hon, it's almost 90 degrees out, you should take a quick dip in the pool."
