It's Just the Coffee Talking: The New Year's Eve Installment - "I don't even have a pla."

It's New Year's Eve.

And even prior to the world of Covid based fear I chose to stay home on this 'eve' holiday.

I celebrated by watching a New Year's Eve episode of Friends from their first season.

I plan to be (hoping to be, anyway) sleeping as the clock turns over to 2022.

2020 wasn't all that great.

2021 was downright shitty, awful, horrible and depressing.

Do I have hopes for 2022?

Not really.

Do I have a plan for 2022?

In the words of Phoebe Buffay, I quote, "I don't even have a pla-."

_______________________________________________

I know a guy with four small kiddos who get really, really excited about the New Year.
They want to stay up late and 'watch the ball drop!'
So his wife makes up a bunch of appetizers for 'dinner' and they eat while watching New Year's celebrations.

They normally go to bed around 7:30 pm.

The man and his simply google New Year's celebrations going on in other countries, find one ahead of us that are dropping a ball or doing something similar to usher in the New Year.  They make a big deal of it, all gathered around to watch it on the computer screen.

The ball drops, everyone screams Happy New Year!

The kids scream, laugh and are excited.

They think they've stayed up late to celebrate.

Then they go off to bed.

They have no idea it's really only 7:30 pm.

 Happy New Year.
I hope.

"Phoebe, do you have a plan?"

"I don't even have a pla."  (pronounced plah)

It's Just the Coffee Talking.... some random news with your morning coffee

It's Just the Coffee Talking: All I'm trying to do is a simple weekly rental for vacation - WHY is this one company making it so dang difficult?

Good Morning Coffee Friends!

I'm a little grumpy this morning... I admit.  It's in regards to trying to do a simple rental booking for our one-and-only vacation later this year.

Should be easy but this year the VRBO listing isn't by the home owner, but a real estate company who lists some of their properties on VRBO.  They have been absolutely hellish to work with.

I'd just cancel the whole dang thing but I'd be out my $500 service fee with VRBO AND I'd have to try to find a new rental and in the 2 weeks that I've been dealing with this sh*tty real estate company, most all the rentals in that area in our price range and the bedrooms/locations/etc. that we need have almost all been snatched up.

I've had zero confirmation they've even received our signed rental agreement.
Zero communication about payment information and they've not charged the initial payment on our credit card yet even though it was 'due' December 29th.
They say they mail out a paper copy of the rental agreement immediately but we never got that either.

Basically - other than the $500 VRBO service fee we are 'out' I have NO IDEA if they are dropping the ball on their end or what.  It's marked 'reserved' but if they don't take out the first payment (that is now 2 days overdue) then I think it's not official and they can claim they haven't received anything from us (even though I emailed the signed rental agreement to TWO of their emails just to cover my ass.  The one they communicate through AND the email they list in the rental agreement as the one to send the signed docs to).

I know it was Christmas and today is New Year's Eve so I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt to their shitty customer service and work ethic... but seriously, is it SO HARD to acknowledge you received the signed rental agreement or to charge the first payment on time to follow your own rental agreement payment dates?

So I'm in limbo... not knowing for SURE that we have the rental in place - as I watch all the other rentals in that area get booked up quickly.

NEVER AGAIN will I book a property through a real estate/rental company.  I love VRBO but I prefer to book directly through the homeowners.

(Tiny print:  this is a legit and well known company in that area; they've been in business for 30 years and are a 'family' run; the kids and now grandkids all work there.  But apparently actually, you know, WORKING is something they don't do.  They just screw around and get paid for it. They have crazy, detailed and unbelievable rental agreements - which I'll post more about later perhaps as some of the details them make me roll my eyes and say 'what the fuck is your problem?' but FIRST let's see if they open and confirm that they received the damn documents and charge the first payment to reserve it as they should have done 2 days ago.....)

It's Just the Coffee Talking: Transvaccinated: I am not actually 'vaccinated' but I identify as someone who is vaccinated.

Good Morning!

I opened this editor window hours ago (literally) but keep getting pulled away to other things.  However, I just brewed a fresh cup of Donut Shop Peppermint Bark coffee and I'm determined to type something and hit publish before I move on to the next thing.

First - I'm seeing a lot of awesome coffee mugs, stickers and t-shirts regarding identifying as vaccinated.  They make me smirk a little.  I like them.  I decided to feature them on this mornings post.

And if you haven't checked VAERS in a while, you should check it again.  Ponder it over coffee.

I saw this a few times on social media and loved it every time so I decided I'd add it to this mornings coffee post as well.

I was singing 'you are my sunshine' to my three year old and he told me he hates that song. I said that's a shame because I used to sing it to him when he was in my tummy before he was born.  He looked me dead in the eyes and said, "I hated it then too."

Good Morning Coffee friends!

I have a zoom meeting call in a little bit so my mind is elsewhere, but I brewed coffee and came to the laptop in order to hopefully rest my brain.  Just kidding?  Because that NEVER happens.  My brain likes to be active at all times.  Never, ever a down time.

So, a cold is making its way around... but you have to give a new name in order to instill fear.  So they did.  If you are following the science, you wouldn't be fearful.  If you are following ONE scientist that has some ethics issues and financial gain from fear mongering then you'll probably be fearful.  We fear what we don't know.  So...  research.  REAL research. Not the sh*t being spoon fed to you in the media.  Dig a little deeper into medical journals, pubmed publishings and even the doctor who discovered the newest 'cold' virus as well as the Nobel prize winners that did the research  and discovered mRna and invented the experimental emergency jab they are now giving 4th doses of (because the first 3 don't work).

I have a friend in New York with no less than I think 5 (?) immediate family members in the medical profession who absolutely calls this all out as bunk and fear mongering.  As a matter of fact she tracks the number of hospitalizations in her county and it ends up they are absolutely almost all 'vaccinated'.  The unvaccinated may be counted in the 'cases' because Lord knows they are testing everyone they can for anything in order to drive up the numbers (although the testing has been shown to result in huge numbers of false-positives AND it can't tell the difference between a cold, the flu or any of the so called variants.)  But those getting sick from the cold virus who end up in the hospital?

Predominantly vaccinated.  (Which remember; this isn't a vaccination by definition, it just started to be called that in the media and propaganda.  It's an experimental emergency mRna shot - but it's not a vaccination.)

NOTE:  how they word the fact that the largest percentage of hospitalized are vaccinated...oh wait... they didn't.  They simply say 6 are unvaccinated!
But... no mention of the larger number;  17 are fully vaccinated.

This is happening all over.  Check out the nurses in Ventura County California who are absolutely frustrated that not only is it just the vaccinated that are getting sick... but the overwhelming number of people with shot-related issues like heart attacks and blood clots are being COVERED UP BY THE DOCTORS THEY WORK FOR.   Look it up.

And it's not just the US.  Take a gander at some of the numbers around the world...  fully vaccinated getting sick.  Those who refused the experimental shots are not getting sick or just getting minor colds.

But in other news... BABIES!
This was adorable.
Same pose with arms above head - in utero and out.

Global Coalition Of Health Experts Demand 'An Immediate Stop To The Experimental COVID-19 Vaccines'

The World Council for Health, which describes itself as a "worldwide coalition of health-focused organizations and civil society groups that seek to broaden public health knowledge and sense-making through science and shared wisdom," has released a declaration demanding governments and organizations to put "an immediate stop" to the distribution of COVID vaccines all over the world.

The group argues that the push for mass immunization violates not only common law, but also several international treaties.

In the declaration signed November 29, the global coalition of health experts demanded that "governments and corporations cease and desist from direct or indirect participation in the manufacturing, distribution, administration or promotion of COVID-19 experimental injections." The World Council for Health asserts that as per "recent studies" and "emerging research," COVID vaccines are "neither safe nor effective, and, in fact, are toxic" due to their "unknown and undisclosed ingredients."

According to LifesiteNews, the global coalition of health experts argued that COVID vaccines are still experimental and that its long term effects remain unknown today because "most clinical trials will be not completed until 2023, and some as late as 2025." The World Council for Health added that this "humanitarian crisis" must end because COVID vaccines violate several laws and the "Nuremberg Code, the Helsinki Declaration, and other international treaties," which prohibit people from participating in medical experiments against their will.

Those who oppose COVID vaccine mandates repeatedly point to the provisions of the Nuremberg Code and the Helsinki Declaration to denounce vaccine requirements that create a divide and give privilege to those who are vaccinated and limit access to those who are not.

The World Council for Health, which was founded on September 23, 2021, cites several health experts to back up its declaration. These include Canadian health researcher and former Trump administration official at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Paul Alexander, and Dr. Peter McCullough, an internist, cardiologist, and professor of medicine at Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center, who has also testified before committees of the U.S. and Texas Senate. The group also cites Dr. Robert Malone, who contributed to mRNA research that was used in the development of COVID vaccines.

"There is now more than enough evidence on the [UK] Yellow Card system to declare the COVID-19 vaccines unsafe for use in humans," World Council for Health co-founder Dr. Tess Lawrie wrote in June 2021. "Preparation should be made to scale up humanitarian efforts to assist those harmed by the COVID-19 vaccines and to anticipate and ameliorate medium to longer term effects."

In the U.S., COVID vaccine mandates are met with legal challenges but health authorities such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, the controversial White House chief medical advisor who is linked to the experiments that created COVID-19, urges more vaccine requirements.

According to the Associated Press, Dr. Fauci on Monday suggested a COVID vaccine mandate for domestic air travel amidst yet another spike of COVID cases nationally due to the Omicron variant. Dr. Fauci remarked, "When you make vaccination a requirement, that's another incentive to get more people vaccinated."

Fauci Slips, Admits Vaccine Requirements For Air Travel Are Simply Meant To Force People To Get Vaccinated

Over the weekend, Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on ABC News's "This Week," in which co-anchor Jonathan Karl asked the White House chief medical advisor if he agreed with President Joe Biden's opinion that a COVID vaccine mandate for domestic air travel "isn't necessary at this time." The 80 year old director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases appeared to have a differing view.

"A vaccine requirement for a person getting on the plane is just another level of getting people to have a mechanism that would spur them to get vaccinated," Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted. "Namely, you can't get on a plane unless you're vaccinated, which is just another one of the ways of getting requirements, whatever that might be."

Dr. Fauci's statement spurred critics to point out the NIAID director's agenda, arguing that "there's no medical reason for mandating them other than to get more people to take the jabs," NOQ Report said.

The report argued that paying close attention to Dr. Fauci's most recent statements reveal his "real agenda" that Americans are "not at greater risk of contracting COVID by being around the unvaccinated" and that the fears about unvaccinated folks are "scientifically unfounded." Furthermore, Dr. Fauci's admission has "everything to do with control and nothing to do with improving the general health prospects of the population."

Dr. Fauci remarked that for now, "anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome." He even argued against refraining from wearing masks on planes despite airline executives assuring that airplane filtration systems are robust enough to keep passengers safe.

According to The Hill, Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly explained that masks "don't add much" because "99.97% of airborne pathogens are captured" by the plane's highly efficient filtration systems. Kelly explained, "The case is very strong that masks don't add much, if anything, in the air cabin environment. It's very safe, and very high quality compared to any other indoor setting."

Dr. Fauci, meanwhile, said that the "idea of taking masks off" is "really not something we should even be considering." CNBC reported that the NIAID director was concerned about the rising number of new COVID cases in America thanks to the highly transmissible but very mild Omicron variant.

https://www.christianitydaily.com/articles/14410/20211228/california-nurses-reveal-overwhelming-number-of-hospitalized-vaccinated-people-suffering-from-blood-clots-heart-attacks.htm

Ventura County, California nurses are raising awareness of the sudden increase in patients who are vaccinated against COVID experiencing heart problems, strokes, and blood clotting as doctors refuse to consider that these health issues may be linked to the COVID jab. Nurses are alarmed that many younger people are being admitted for strokes and heart attacks.

"We've been having a lot of younger people come in," an unnamed nurse who did not say which hospital she or he worked at told The Conejo Guardian. "We're seeing a lot of strokes, a lot of heart attacks."

The unnamed nurse said that there was a 38 year old female patient who suffered from occlusions or blockage of blood flow in her brain. The nurse shared that doctors were documenting everything and seeking out all possible illnesses except the possibility that the illlness was an adverse effect of the COVID vaccine.

The nurse lamented that one of the side effects of the COVID vaccine was thrombosis or clotting, which was exactly what the 38 year old woman was experiencing. The nurse said that the patient was "having strokes they can't explain. None of the doctors relates it to the vaccine. It's garbage. It's absolute garbage."

The unnamed nurse said she came forward because "I'm tired of all the B.S. that's going on. It's crazy how nobody questions anything anymore."

According to World Tribune, the California nurse said that despite seeing an increase in patients who have myocarditis, a known side effect of an mRNA COVID vaccine, doctors want to "downplay it, [saying] 'it's rare.' Doctors don't want to question it." The nurse linked the increase of myocarditis cases to the mass vaccinations occurring in the U.S. today.

The nurse attributed the increase in myocarditis patients to the "mass vaccinations," arguing that the link between the vaccinations and the sudden spike in myocarditis is a "red flag" that nobody wants to raise. She lamented, "They act like they don't have a reason, that it's spontaneous."

Meanwhile, another ICU nurse revealed that at the Ventura County hospital where she works, there had been an "overwhelming" number of critically ill people, but not because of COVID. The nurse said that the normal rate of aortic dissections were six to 10 annually but lately, they were witnessing up to six in the last month, which they believe are "very high rates of mortality."

The ICU nurse criticized the doctors at the hospital for refusing to recognize that the COVID vaccines may be the reason why patients are experiencing such health issues. She argued that while doctors go out of their way to suppress discussion on adverse side effects of the vaccine, they often encourage people to get vaccinated.

The nurse complained however that the COVID vaccine is "not really a vaccine. It's experimental" and should not be forced on anyone. She argued that there's too little data and that "there are risk associated with it."

The ICU nurse also blasted hospitals and workplaces for demanding to disclose one's vaccination status, arguing that patient data used to be private. Now, however, one's vaccination status is often talked about and those who are not vaccinated are shunned. She said that patients are being treated the same, being asked their vaccination status first and foremost.

It's Just the Coffee Talking: Let's just keep our communication to a terse 'fuck off', shall we?

Good Morning coffee friends!

What a crazy couple weeks we've had of strange (but welcome) weather.

One family member had warm weather last week but this week was dumped with 2 feet of snow Monday - with another 4-5 inches expected today.  Thankful I don't currently have that in my forecast!

Some things you can ponder over your morning coffee....

Love Dinesh D'Souza's reply to this ridiculous Washington Post whine about someone wishing them a 'Merry Christmas' and how impolite and alienating it is since they aren't Christian.

Dinesh's reply?  In that case, don't tell me about black history month, Martin Luther King Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, or Gay pride; because I'm not black, Hispanic or gay.  Let's just keep our communication to a terse 'fuck off', shall we?

It's Just the Coffee Talking: Are you a taker-downer or a leaver-upper? (How soon do YOU take down your Christmas decorations?)

Good Morning - salutations - greetings, friends-

Are you a taker-downer or a leaver-upper?

The only Christmas left in our home this morning is a couple trays of Christmas cookies in the freezer.  Those however, are going to their homes tomorrow (the office break room).

Yes, all the Christmas 'everything' came down yesterday and... it feels good.  Oh, it sucked to take it all down and get it packed away, but the clean, uncluttered feel and look of my home again is nice.   My brain functions better when there isn't clutter around it.

I'm drinking hot, strong, bold and black coffee this morning... brewed at a 6 oz. size.  I think I'm on cup number 3.

What I did didn't do on my Christmas Vacation.....

This morning as I sipped my hot coffee and pondered if I had anything I could chat about on It's Just the Coffee Talking, I had the little 'essay theme' from a typical elementary school childhood writing assignment go through my head;  "What I did on my Christmas Vacation".

We would all hunker down and carefully compose a one page essay about our Christmas vacation (or summer vacation or whatever the topic was at that time).  This year however, my essay would be filled with what I didn't do.

What I didn't do on my Christmas Vacation.... almost anything and everything that I normally do.
The end.

December has been quite the month for us.  Luckily God gave me a nudge to prepare for it even before I knew what I was doing.  Last month I had finished our regular bi-weekly grocery shopping when I felt compelled (?) to go back out 2 days later for a 'holiday' grocery baking and grocery shopping trip.

I didn't know for sure how many family members would be making it from out of state and I had no idea what meals I would be serving; but I felt the overwhelming need to shop for the ingredients I thought I'd want on hand and I could come up with a menu later. I even ended up picking up the things I planned to get at the very last minute like the meat and cheeses for the cheese tray, a gallon of milk, etc.

I even asked myself why I was buying these so early?  And myself argued that I needed to do it that day and everything would store just fine.  You'll see.  (And it did.)

I was compelled to start and finish my Christmas shopping in October/early November.
I felt overwhelmingly of some completely random items I needed/should order online that were health and medical related but not needed, like an arm sling (? whattheheckwouldineedthatfor? But I did.)
I got some of my list of cookies and goodies done a week earlier than I was going to but, again, 'compelled'. (And they were the only ones I managed to get done.)
The groceries were bought.  Fresh sheets on the guest beds.
I felt compelled to hurry and box up the 'out of state' extended family members gifts and get them mailed early.

Things like that.

I did them - because when I tried to put it off, I found myself constantly thinking I needed to, and I'd get antsy and it would bother me. Big time.  As in - I couldn't concentrate on other things because this was a little bell ringing in the back of my brain until I did it.

I even went out of my way to fill up the car tank with gas because I needed to - even though I argued it was 'out of my way' and I had a sleepy toddler in the car with me and I really just wanted to turn into our neighborhood and go home and get him down for his nap.

All things worked together as they should have though.

I needed that gas.  I needed those groceries. I got no other time to shop for gifts, groceries, or mail the gifts I did that day I felt compelled to do it.

Life went insane the second week of December and it's still a whirlwind.

Thankyougodforpromptingmetogetprepared.

I felt compelled to do some things early and 'prepare' so I did.  And the things I did were just right.
And all the things I thought I might do, wanted to do, planned to do, hoped to do... didn't happen.
And that was alright too.

On This Christmas Eve: May today there be peace within....

“May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.”

When you realize 2022 is pronounced... 2020 too; and my all time favorite artwork featuring Mary - the mother of Jesus

When you realize 2022 is pronounced... 2020 too.

Good Morning coffee friends!

A FULL day ahead of me so I'm here, gulping a bit of coffee quickly and then... oh my.  It's going to be 'a day'.

CHRISTMAS ART CHAT:  I wanted to post one of my favorite religious artworks.

I don't have time to go into details as I LITERALLY should have hit 'publish' a minute ago and been on my way out the door soon BUT I wanted a new COFFEE TALKING post up before I left and to say good morning.

LOVE this one.

It's the baby Jesus and his cousin John.  Reminds me of two of our own family members - but what I really love in this one is Mary.  She is so relatable in this I think!  As a Mom, I can see myself in her.  Holding the little one, watching over while the older little toddler cousin snuggles his little baby cousin.  Watching close and probably thinking or saying what WE Moms do today "... be gentle...."  or "aww, you love your baby cousin" or other such chitter-chatter.

And her foot!  Look at her crossed legs and her ankle and foot.  I don't know why, but that and the look on Mary's face is what drew me to this particular work of art long ago and I've loved it ever since.  Instead of being posed and prim as she is portrayed in most art, in this one... she is a Mom.  I love that.

I saw this posted on a public account on Instagram last week and LOVED IT.
I think they said the artist was named Jane something - I'm sorry I don't recall her last name.

Look closely... soooo so awesome.

I'm late!!!!  More later tonight perhaps.

12.20.2021

2021 ends in a few weeks and although we have our differences, I think we can all agree on one thing.... What. The. Fuck. Was. That.

Good Morning coffee friends....

Was out the door and off into the depths of the city early this morning but things went quicker than anticipated so I have a bit of time before the next 'thing' on the docket today.  So here I am!  With Peppermint Bark coffee in hand as well.  A tiny little nod to the Christmas spirit that I'm not in.

Random Chit-Chat Over Morning Coffee:  The elevator conversation.

This morning we had one of those 'parking lot' moments.  Where there are 10 levels of parking and it's only in the elevator riding down to the 2nd floor lobby that you look at each other and say, "Did you remember to look at what level we were on?"  "Oh!  No, I didn't.  Did you?"  "Nope."

It's Just the Coffee Talking: Twinkie, HoneyBun, Dingdong and Snoball flavored Hostess Coffee AND I bought 3 boxes of their DingDong, etc. cappuccino and hot chocolate flavors too!

So, right now this is one of my favorite memes.....

STOP TRYING TO TRACK THAT PACKAGE.  IT'S IN GODS HANDS NOW.

Funny but not funny as it's my life over the past 2 years.

I ran errands yesterday and got the last 3 'dirty Santa game'  or 'White Elephant' gifts I needed, as well as some flavored coffee to have on hand this week for holiday house guests and I found a box of cappuccino and hot chocolate varieties I picked up as well - they are Ding Dong and Snoball and Twinkie flavors!!!  And because they are NOT coffee, they can be enjoyed by every age - including the little ones, who like to have fun holiday drinks as well.

Um, did I post about finding Twinkie and other flavored coffees about 6 weeks ago?  Maybe I forgot to mention that.

So - about 6 weeks ago I was shopping a local store that had just recently opened and I saw Hostess snack flavored coffees.  They had Twinkie and HoneyBun and I believe one other kind - but I only bought the Twinkie at the time.  I bought a box of Twinkie Coffee Flavored K-cups for me and one for another family member.  THEY LOVED THEM.   I however, not being a fan of flavored coffees as much as most people, thought it was ok.  I liked it enough that I did go back and buy 2 more boxes for us (LOL) but it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to add to my coffee to bring out the Twinkie flavor without making it too sweet.

Remember - I like my coffee burning hot, strong and black.  BLACK.  No sweeteners.  So when I do want a cup of flavored coffee, I want to be able to taste the flavor but with no sweetness.

Hence me trying various ways to bring out the yummy Twinkie flavor without making it sweet.

Flavored vanilla syrups are good, as are sweetener drops like Sweet Drops vanilla.  That with a dash of milk or cream would probably make most people fall in love and swoon over their Twinkie Coffee.  I found I personally liked to add a dash of pure vanilla extract!  This enhanced the flavor without giving any sweetness.  It was my happy place.

I picked up 2 more boxes of Twinkie flavored coffee k-cups yesterday at the store, as well HoneyBun flavored.  I hesitated with the Snoball flavor because I was already buying many boxes of coffee (and the cappuccino variety mix - 3 boxes!!!!)  so I did not get the Snowball flavor.

Apparently (because I just looked on Amazon right now to provide links for everyone to the products I'm talking about) they make Ding Dong flavored coffee as well.  I couldn't find that locally but they do have it on Amazon!

Ok - now for the links.  The variety pack I'm talking about is this one... perfect for adults AND kids since it's not coffee - it's cappuccino and hot chocolates!   You guys... I bought 3 boxes!!!  Ha ha.  I am saving one for us for 'later' in the pantry.  One is out by the coffee bar for guests this week during the holidays.  The third one I have tucked away and it's either going to be a gift in the Dirty Santa game OR I may package it up and send it to a family member I know would love it.

Here are ALL FOUR FLAVORS.  I have bought the Twinkie (numerous times) and the HoneyBun.  I didn't try the Snoball yet and my local store didn't have the DingDong option as it's probably the most popular and sold out.

This is in the cupboard right now for guests this week, along with the Twinkie flavor (and peppermint bark flavor and a few other options)

This is not coffee but I bought this too!

This is the Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie cereal - and I bought it as a gift for our Dirty Santa game. I know the Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies are a favorite of almost everyone playing the game so I know this cereal will be a hit when the gift is opened and 'someone' wins it.

It's Just the Coffee Talking: rambling about the $40K in deliveries the FedEx guy trashed (and some links to super cute COFFEE THEMED PAJAMAS for women including Pajamagrams!)

Very fitting:   This little image is me, peeping over my coffee cup wondering what in the heck life is going to hand me today.  Every day for the past 1 1/2 weeks I've had something come out of the blue and smack me up side the head, or sock me in the stomach.

Doesn't life know it's almost Christmas time and I should be concentrating on making cookies, wrapping gifts and preparing for family to visit for the holiday?

Nope.  So, I'm pretty much just sitting here every morning, sipping a cup of coffee, deep in thought and wondering what LIFE is going to hand me today.

But... on to some coffee chit-chat and rambling over my morning cup of caffeine....

Because I never got around to coffee themed Christmas gifts, I wanted to add a few more this morning even though it's getting pretty late to be ordering gifts online.  The GOOD thing is that although most stores can't get them to you in time, Amazon is still really good at it since they use their own delivery drivers and don't count on FedEx and UPS.  So...  still time to order and get them in time for Christmas!

My brain immediately went to comfy pajamas... so that is what my links are to.

Speaking of deliveries - if you were watching the news over the past couple weeks you may have seen that FedEx was FINALLY CAUGHT DUMPING DELIVERIES.  Something everyone has been telling them for the past 2 years and they denied.

All the lost packages and they never took responsibility for and instead (I know from experience and POSTED ABOUT IT MORE THAN A FEW TIMES and even posted PHOTOS of some of the items I saw dumped in the area where I live) you end up talking to a non-English speaking customer service agent, so you get NO customer service.

They also tell you "it says it was delivered and left on or at... blah blah"  and they tell you the 22 year old thug they hired as a contracted driver marked the paperwork as "delivered to the front porch" when you don't have a front porch.  Or marked the delivery in their system "left at front door" when you have a security camera that clearly shows NO ONE came to your front door that day.

But as soon as they tell you it's marked delivered in their system... you are ON YOUR OWN.  Their responsibility ended.  Now you are either out of luck and out of money or you have to contact the person sending or selling the package and see what you can work out.

I know people who have had their MEDICATION and other items fake-delivered.

Anyway, the point is, I saw the news story and the 22 year old driver had dumped packages down a ravine at least 6 times.  Authorities were able to figure out names and addresses of $15,000 worth of items to get to the correct owners but $24,000 worth weren't able to be deciphered from the damaged boxes and labels.

Why am I rambling about this?

Because as crappy as this situation is for all involved, at least it FINALLY CAME TO LIGHT.  And hopefully it scared a few of the contracted drivers into actually being a little more honest since the guy that did this 'big' dump is being charged for it.  Granted, his lawyer is trying to get him off by saying he was overwhelmed at the time because of a death in his extended family.....  hmm.  What that has to do with him stealing over $40K worth of delivery packages and dumping them I don't know... but you know lawyers and court systems these days so......

Ok.  I really loved typing a tiny little coffee-fueled rant because it got my brain busy thinking about stuff other than life, I do need to actually ponder real life now and get a game plan in place for this morning.

Thanks for popping in dear coffee friends.....

A few Coffee Themed Christmas Gift Links enclosed in this post on Coffee Talking..........

Hello Coffee Friends...

Welp, I had thought I'd use December to post a lot of coffee-themed gift ideas from Amazon on my site (to help with the pennies I can earn on sales) but honestly, life has just had other plans for me.

Instead, you've had to put up with quickly posted memes and news blurbs.  I'm sorry.  And I do hope that perhaps things will get back up to Coffee-Speed in early 2022 because I love having coffee-talk time with friends - I just haven't been able to really have it lately.

I'll throw some last second COFFEE THEMED GIFT links from Amazon below for old time sake...
