It's Just the Coffee Talking: I think I've only had McDonalds coffee maybe 3 times in my life until last weekend. But I did buy a box of McCafe k-cups this week.

Good Morning Coffee Friends...

I've got 1 1/2 minutes to type before my 'last alarm to throw clothes on and get out the door in time' goes off.  That's ok... I don't have much to say.

Last night before falling asleep some of my last thoughts and prayers were;  How did we as a world get this crazy so.... fast?  And if it's this bad now, I can only imagine what it will be 2 years, 4 years from now if this continues.

Anyway...  COFFEE talk.  I have a different kind I'm using this week (and probably next... until the box runs out).   I know it's going to sound insane to some of you, but I'm drinking the McDonalds coffee k-cups;   McCafe k-cups.

Here is how that went down.

So, I had to do a fast 4-states-in-one-day and back again trip last weekend.
We met some family members at a McDonalds in the middle of nowhere.  I ordered black coffee.

I don't usually eat (or drink) fast food (or restaurants) so it's been perhaps 15 years or more since I've had McDonalds coffee.  And it was... fine.  Not great, but not bad.  Lighter than I'm used to with my typical dark roasts.

Skip ahead to me having to run to the store for coffee the next day.  My regular go-to was not on sale and is sadly, expensive. My back-up go to that I usually buy because it's 'fine' and typically on sale and a pretty good price, wasn't on sale... and I'm kind of tired of it anyway.

But McCafe was there.
And a fairly good price for a box of k-cups.
Since I had just had it at McDonalds I knew what I was getting into so I bought that one.  Good deal for the money at the time.

And that is how I'm drinking McDonalds coffee this week....   McCafe K-cups.   100% Arabica coffee is from the rich soils and mountainous regions of Central and South America.

It's lighter and... brighter than my typicals but it's a good morning choice, and easy to drink.

Not sure if it's going to be a regular in this household, but it's good for now until the budget gets some wiggle room in it.
