It's Just the Coffee Talking Again.... gardening is becoming a 'thing' again (yay!)

Good Morning Coffee Friends!

It was a busy, busy morning... but I'm here.
In the midst of a busy morning I had some errands to run.  One of them was a hopeful yet realistic trip to the membership warehouse where I had bought some raised garden planters last year.  They still carry them and I've seen them there for months - well in stock - but I didn't need more.

Until I did.

And now that I've realized I really need to up my gardening to supply our family with fresh foods the best I can (and not depend on the grocery chains) they are out.  I'd like the style I had - so they will all match - but alas, it looks as though no one has that exact size and style in stock any longer.  No one.  Not even the company that sells them.  Which is... fine.  I'll just have to make due.  :)

Just a quick couple news articles.......

"Two decades ago, when I was 4 years old, my parents immigrated to Canada from India in search of greater freedoms, autonomy and economic opportunities. They’re core Canadian values — enshrined in our national anthem, which gloriously heralds “The True North strong and free.”

However, the past two years have seen a near complete erosion of the foundational liberal values that have attracted millions of immigrants like myself to this country.

Under the once-righteous guise of COVID safety and online protections, the Canadian government has taken its power to extreme levels once only imaginable — let alone permissible — in a dissent-stifling authoritarian state...

The internationally recognized trucker protests earlier this year were the most flagrant display of political control ever witnessed within the ranks of the Canadian government. After trying to dismiss the truckers as a “fringe minority” of “swastika wavers,” Trudeau manufactured a National Emergency in order to justify truly outrageous tactics. Not only did he suspend the insurance of the truckers’ vehicles, he regulated the cryptocurrency transfers and froze the bank accounts of folks simply donating to the trucker cause.

In my own small British Columbia town, Chilliwack (about an hour and a half from Vancouver), a single mother earning minimum wage who donated $50 to the Truckers Convoy allegedly had her bank account frozen...

But the crackdowns on truckers were just the tip of the iceberg.

...Trudeau, who once professed to being cognitively unable to do basic math, has plunged the country into over $1 trillion in national debt for the first time in history. Everyday, that number surges by an additional $400 million.

More than 15 years after arriving in Canada to secure a more open and rewarding life, I must now consider the possibility that my civil rights might have been more secure back in India. Once a vibrant, liberal democracy, Canada is now becoming an authoritarian state.

I can't believe how fast it happened."

It sounds like yet again, the person doing a mass shooter is a mentally unstable, messed up 'kid' (18 years old).  We had some major mental issues going on even prior to the last two years of plandemic hell... the mental stability of many more were added.

What we know so far about Salvador Ramos, the suspected Texas school shooter

May 24, 2022 - this is just a tiny clip.  You can read the whole article at the link above.

"....Ramos, who attended the town’s high school, reportedly shot his grandmother before driving to the school armed with a handgun and possibly a rifle, Abbott said.

The evening manager at a Wendy’s in Uvalde where Ramos worked told CNN that the teen “kept to himself mostly.”

“He felt like the quiet type, the one who doesn’t say much. He didn’t really socialize with the other employees,” Adrian Mendes told the outlet. “He just worked, got paid, and came in to get his check.”

A young woman who worked with him until March admitted she noticed an aggressive streak.

“He would be very rude towards the girls sometimes, and one of the cooks, threatening them by asking, ‘Do you know who I am?’ And he would also send inappropriate texts to the ladies,” the former co-worker told The Daily Beast on condition of anonymity.

“At the park, there’d be videos of him trying to fight people with boxing gloves. He’d take them around with him,” she said.

Nadia Reyes, a high school classmate, told the paper that Ramos recently posted an Instagram story of himself yelling at his mom, who he said was trying to kick him out of their home....

“He posted videos on his Instagram where the cops were there and he’d call his mom a b—- and say she wanted to kick him out,” she told the paper. “He’d be screaming and talking to his mom really aggressively.”

Ramos moved to his grandmother’s home across town a few months ago, according to neighbor Ruben Flores, 41, who said he last saw the grandmother Sunday when she stopped by the mom’s Hood Street property, which she also owned.

He told the Washington Post that she told him she was in the process of evicting Ramos’ mother because of her drug issues.

Ramos allegedly shot his grandmother before heading over to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with two assault rifles around 11:32 a.m. local time Tuesday, according to officials."
