It's Just the Coffee Talking: I don't sleep well (at all) anticipating alarms

Good Morning Coffee Friends -

This mornings little selfie is... goofy. LOL.  Not really my personality but it says 'hello friend' so it works even though the letters are a bit puffy and pastel for my taste.

This morning we will be leaving bright and early for an appointment in the big city.  When I know I have to get up early for something (like getting to the airport, etc.) and set an alarm - I do *not* sleep.  I just don't sleep well anticipating an alarm going off.   Luckily I don't use alarms very often! 

Actually I do best just telling myself what time to wake up... "Self, wake up at 4:30 am"  and I do.  Usually within 3-5 minutes.  But having an alarm set for 4:30 am?  I will start to wake up at 11:30, 1:15, 1:50, 2:20, 2:30, and on and on... until I get up for good at 3:45 because I know that 4:30 am alarm will go off.  LOL.

That's all just rambling over morning coffee... because the point is, I set alarms as a back up 'just in case' this morning but then woke up at 5:10 am and was up for good.  

But that DID allow me to sneak out of the bedroom quietly in order to brew some coffee first.  I get a bit testy when I have to get up and immediately start to get ready/dressed/makeup/hair to go somewhere and I don't get at least 10 of silence and hot coffee to start my day off.

I got my silence - I got my hot coffee - now I can go into the bedroom and start to get dressed for the appointment.

With 1 minute and 23 seconds to spare before my alarm 'would have' gone off.

It's' just the coffee talking...............
