The
World Health Organization’s European standards for sexuality education
have sparked fresh outrage after resurfaced materials showed content
aimed at children as young as 9 discussing mast*rbation, pleasure, and
org*sm.
One video associated with programs following WHO
guidelines includes lines such as “Do you ever play with your d*ck? Do
you ever touch your willy?” and explanations that “girls can org*sm
too.”
While WHO states their guidance is meant to be age-appropriate
and focused on health and consent, many parents view introducing these
topics to 9-year-olds as crossing a major line and sexualizing children
too early.
The standards recommend teaching about these subjects
in the 9-12 age range as part of broader “comprehensive sexuality
education.”
